Overview

The TS-435XeU 4-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP provides users with a professional-grade NAS in a short depth, 1 RU form factor. Native 10GbE SFP+ and 2.5GbE RJ45 ports work alongside M.2 NVMe SSD slots that enable cache acceleration so users can efficiently tackle tasks that include file backup/restore. Its short depth design makes the TS-435XeU easy to install in small media cabinets or places with lots of cabling. As it supports abundant business applications, including file sharing and sync, snapshot protection, containerization, cloud storage gateways, and video streaming, as well as expandable storage capacity, and install-on-demand apps, the TS-435XeU is an ideal cost-effective entry-level rackmount NAS.

The TS-435XeU is powered by a 2.2 GHz Marvell OCTEON TX2 Quad-Core processor and 4GB of DDR4 RAM, which can be upgraded to 32GB. This NAS also supports JBOD and a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, each of which offer data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both.

This 4-bay enclosure has the ability to natively house both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III and SATA II hard drives or SSDs, which can reach a throughput of up to 2224 MB/s. Using the external 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and 480 Mb/s USB 2.0 Type-A ports, this QNAP NAS can be connected to other QNAP devices, as well as other external drives and displays.

The TS-435XeU 4-Bay NAS Enclosure operates on 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz using a 100W power supply and stays cool using three 40mm fans. It includes an Ethernet cable, a power cord, sixteen screws for 3.5" drives, and twelve screws for 2.5" drives. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.
